Altos del Maria is a private mountain estate of a size of 8,000 acres (3,237 hectares), 1.5 hours away from Panama City in western direction.
To Coronado (at the Interamericana) with all its shopping opportunities it is about 25 minutes and from there you easily can reach the Pacific beaches.
The other access to Altos del Maria is from El Valle de Antón by a private road over the Contintal Divide in also about 25 minutes. On the market in the center of El Valle you get fresh fruits and vegetables all over the year.

Altos del Maria offers panoramic mountain and valley views even down to the Pacific, pine forests, lakes, waterfalls and prime birding spots (almost 300 bird species spotted and recorded).
Facilities include a community center, heliport, telephone, Satellite TV, high speed internet service, lighted streets, 43 miles of paved roads, filtered water, a natural swimming pool at a waterfall, 11 miles of nature trails with suspension bridges, walkways, viewing stations and a 24 hour guard house where only residents and their guests are permitted.

As Altos del Maria is located in a height of 600-1,000 m above sea level you have the whole year around a mild spring climate with an average temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius).
